If you ask me, there really ‘Arno’ prettier places than Florence, in particular it’s lungarno on a gorgeous summer’s day. There’s nothing more beautiful than when the river is so perfectly still that it reflects a mirror image of the Ponte Vecchio, a brilliant blue sky, and the riverbanks lined with history. I have always loved the shell-like windows of the Chiesa di San Jacopo Soprarno, and it’s so unusual for the back of a church to be more recognisable than its facade.
This pattern focuses on the use of 2 basic stitches, with optional steps for those looking to take their work a step further.
Hoop size: 13cm
