The Basilica di Santa Croce is one of the most important Italian gothic churches, and is considered the meeting place of some of the greatest artists, writers and politicians from the late medieval/rinascimento period. This prestigious symbol of Florence hosts the tombs of celebrated historical figures, such as Michelangelo, Galileo and Leon Battista Alberti, so we just had to include this special place in our collaboration.

Just like Undici’s pieces, the facade of this important church stands out with its clean and distinctive lines, that aren’t too loud but make themselves seen. We wanted to represent this simplicity within the design of this collar, simplifying the marble facade in a way that marries perfectly with the cut of the shirt. The tone-on-tone embroidery is a detail that elevates the design of this shirt, without distracting the eye too much.
